Ego and Gurus

by Richard

God, doesn't really need guru's anymore, one now has the Internet. One doesn't need to deal directly with disciples anymore, they can be worked with remotely, one doesn't need to deal with the crowds anymore they can kept at a safe distance, it all helps to keep ego annoyances out of the picture. One can just lead people to the pages, and the like minded can get together and support each other. Of course everyone is Guru and student are they not? Teachers and those that can see through the appearances and articulate the truth and wisdom are in high demand in these times.

One special thing to note, no one can crucify a web page :)

This is a pertinent a discussion taken from Infinite Play:

God + Ego = Man

the two are inseparable buddies in the world of make believe. It is best to keep the ego minimized with wisdom to guarantee a good experience. The ego can get one in a lot of trouble yet it serves a divine purpose. Often it provides puppet strings for the divine and other ego. As much as one would like to keep it under raps it can flare up and is always lurking in the background. Dealing with ego from another point of view (the seemingly other) is an even greater challenge; however there is an art to it. Untamed Ego, or self under the duress of egoic illusion from another point of view is intelligence impaired and usually without a conscious source connection.

As one covered it before, it is the awareness that comes from self realization that dissolves the ego automagically, yet one will not keep their attention on this awareness for any length of time it gets boring.

In other words ego deflation comes from a knowing of what you and those "seemingly" other really are. I didn’t say “who” because this implies character traits and fiction. Yet one doesn’t want to be who they really are, they want to be human, for the experience of knowing many.

The goal is to achieve this sweet spot, where one sees their own being, in the self, in all of creation, a truth, maintaining the highest resonance of all love, and having compassion for all of creation. In this scenario the ego is somewhat trivial, it exists in harmony with spirit and becomes an essential agent of the divine for the obtainment of certain types of experience that give depth to the soul. It allows the experience of boundaries.

Harmony and a good experience are all about wisdom and compassion.

So the goal is not to entirely destroy ego, so much as to tame it. This is when the lion lays down with the lamb. What one would seek to destroy is the ego’s grip on the world and the establishment of it’s fictions that lead one from the truth to disharmony. The intention is to destroy the popular fictions, and free all of your self from the illusions. That is the great challenge that a God faces, to enter a world deep in the illusion, dense with the lower vibration energy, a literal hell, speeding it up, to create a heaven. That is the game that God plays. One loses one’s self, finds ones self, and then wakes up all of ones self. You should see the celebration.

The human brain is the greatest of all measurement devices and one of the most advanced instruments in the universe. The issue with it is that only one scientist can look through the eye piece and wear the headphones at a time, so to speak. That is why they call it subjective. Yet when so many subjective experiences match, then perhaps it is objective?

Ego is the spice of life, and it can get pretty spicy.

Infinite being is behind it all and the finite beings are the resulting expression.

Like everything it is a circle of thought that ultimately being recursive feeds back on itself sort of like a dog chasing it’s tail and as we all know a circle has no beginning or end unless we put a mark on it.

The difference between finite and infinite being is that the finite self marks the beginning at birth and the infinite self has no marks.

Talking about it is a waste of “time”, unless there is some practical application like warp drive so we can experience traveling through the Galaxies. These practical applications come from doing.

Perhaps the futility of it all is that one is a leaf on the river of life. One can intend to go to the south bank and sometimes you do, and sometimes you don’t. The leaf may fool itself into thinking it is navigating, but the truth is wherever the flow of the river goes, is where the leaf travels, the flow being divine intention, the expansion and evolution of life and consciousness. So the leaf humble with humility, powerless as it is, simply observes and anticipates what possible surprise waits around the next bend in the river.

Yes, there is a state of being where one does not see any boundaries and the world is not divided into parts in the mind. This could be called egoless, yet one still does have a unique point of view from which the universe is observed creating an individual identity.

Science has the math right, it is their interpretation of it that is often flawed.

So I suppose it is all about how one defines ego. So one does not destroy the ego defined as individual identity, one removes it from isolation such that it is connected.

Infinite being is a creature of experience, and that is what it's all about. There are many things that cannot be experienced directly by omnipotent being, yet one can experience these things through man and finite being.

"The universe is for entertainment purposes only, don’t take it to seriously unless you love drama and become a unknowing character in the divine comedy.
~Infinite Play the Movie

"Remember although everything you do is divine so are the consequences."

It is a fiction and that one should sacrifice the now for some future heaven or eternal bliss. A trick used to get the subservient to settle for less, so a few can have more! Find your bliss in the now, and experience it to the fullest, it can be obtained with wisdom and intelligence and compassion, one being both noun and verb. Sacrifice is all about giving up a fiction to embrace the truth.

So even with self realization one might still find some  “residual ego” fading in and out...

If ego were a balloon it would grow bigger and bigger, inflated with fiction, till it gets popped by the a pin of truth, and one is left holding it's tattered remains which will not hold air or fictions any longer.

Become an integrated being, at once infinite and finite, bridging the quantum realm and the relative realm. -Richard
